Menstrual Cycle Awareness, Coaching & Education

Hello! I’m Vida Hollander.

I’m a movement therapist and a menstrual cycle coach and educator.

I teach embodiment and i’m a health at every size advocate.

Embodiment is living in loving relationship with your body.

I help people heal their bodies and their relationships with their bodies through

movement, anatomy education, menstrual cycle awareness and cyclical self care.

WELCOME! I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE.

I want you to feel at home in your body, to trust your body, and to work with your body instead of against it.

I value the unique, complex person that you are, and I will always meet you where you’re at. I love finding solutions that work specifically and sustainably for you, whether that’s healing your relationship with your body, creating a movement routine that is nourishing and inspiring, or providing specific anatomy education and movement therapy to heal painful movement patterns.

I’m also a certified Menstrual Cycle Coach and educator. I believe that for those of us with menstrual cycles, living with this cycle can be challenging in a world that wants us to hide and ignore this part of ourselves. Come learn the superpowers of the menstrual cycle!

Vida has an incredible knowledge of the human body and customizes every session to fit our needs. I always leave with a better understanding of how to move and feel better about my body. I recommend her services for everyone!” - Donna G.

"I have learned more in a few months’ work with Vida than I have in years of physical therapy for a bad back. Vida’s knowledge of body mechanics is amazing. She can explain, in easy to grasp phrasing, subtle changes that make a world of difference. I wish everyone who has body challenges could have access to her help."

the Body Sense philosophy

I believe that our physical form is inherently and inextricably connected to our psychological, emotional, and spiritual selves. The physical is the mental, is the emotional, is the spiritual. Healing our bodies and our relationships with our bodies is a doorway to healing our psychological, emotional and spiritual selves as well.

This is a size inclusive space. I don’t tolerate negative self talk or diet culture in my studio. We are here to foster a loving relationship with our bodies. All body sizes are welcome here.

Body Sense is…

Living in your body with awareness, authenticity and love.

Living in alignment with the natural cycles of your body.

A practice of self discovery and a commitment to care for yourself.

Learning to advocate for your wellbeing.

Learning to listen to and trust your body, and ultimately live in harmony with your body.

I believe that everyone deserves to feel embodied, no matter their shape, size, ability, color, gender, orientation or age. living in a country built on white supremacy, ableism and misogyny has meant that certain populations have had much less access to the care they need. I want to contribute to creating better access to care for these populations.

Body Sense donates quarterly to The Loveland Foundation, which provides therapy services to black women and girls nationally.

“Loveland Foundation is committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. Our resources and initiatives are collaborative and they prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing. We are becoming the ones we’ve been waiting for.”
